Mindful Healing: Harnessing the Power of Thought for Holistic Wellness

You don't need to wait for disasters to happen, you have the power to change the reality of your life. I explain how in this article.

Dr. Joe Dispenza is a chiropractor who studied biochemistry, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis on neuroscience. He deepened his education in neurology, neuroscience, brain functions and chemistry of the brain, cell biology, memory formation, and the study of aging and longevity. He is one of the most sought after bestselling authors of The New York Times. He has lectured and delivered advanced workshops in more than 30 countries on five continents, all with the aim of helping people better understand the power of their brain. The hormones that are responsible for stress, reduce gene regulation and cause diseases. This is a scientific fact. Due to the size of the neocortex (the cortex in mammals which is responsible for higher brain functions such as sensory perception, cognition, generating spatial motor commands, reasoning and language), we can activate the stress response just by thinking alone. Thinking about our problems, activates these chemicals. Our thoughts can make us sick. So if our thoughts can make us sick, it turns out that our thoughts can also help us heal.

How are negative thoughts get fixed in a person’s mind?

Starting from waking up in the morning, a person already feels negative past emotions such as grief, pain, and stress. The familiar past will become the expected future and thus, the person will undergo a series of routine behaviors that will keep the daily negative thoughts running around in his or her head. An excess of this cycle of negative thoughts becomes the programming of the subconscious mind. Meditation is an amazing tool that can help slow down the brain waves.

Most people expect crises, illnesses, and loss. Why do we wait for disasters to happen?

Humans are capable of changing their beliefs during a happy, inspired experience. During our life, when we have a strong emotional reaction – that’s what we call a mood. If that emotional reaction is a stressful one and continues for days and weeks – it becomes a temper. It characterizes the personality, and the stress hormones work excessively and cause a situation where the person is under constant chronic stress. Most people live about 70% of their lives in survival and stress modes and they expect the worst-case scenario possible. Based on their past experiences they pull their feelings and beliefs from the quantum field, they adopt the feeling of anxiety and thus create conditioning in their body to a feeling of fear, and the body goes through a panic attack with no real ability to predict the next attack, because the anxiety is deep in the subconscious. Humans are unable to change this physiological sense of fear even 15-20 years after the traumatic event occurred in their lives, and this is a biological fact.
The intense emotions conserve the energy needed by the brain and the body, and so people get addicted to the emotional speed caused by their limitation. They feel something!

Every time people think about that past experience, they create the same chemistry in their brain and body, as if that past experience was happening right now. The body experiences the exact signals it experienced at the time of the event that occurred years earlier. Our bodies work subconsciously. The brain does not distinguish between the reality that occurred in the past event and the thoughts about that event. The body believes that it is in that difficult situation and therefore secretes stress hormones all year round. And so it’s a cycle that feeds itself. The emotions create those physiological sensations, and they feed the anxiety.

How can we create a change?

By changing our thoughts. This change is not at all simple as it forces a person to step out of his or her comfort zone, out of the familiar and the known, even if the familiar brings much suffering. A struggle will develops between the body and the mind. When the mind experiences happiness by changing thoughts, the body demands back the stimuli it knows – the anxiety stimuli that it has known throughout its years of existence. In this way, the body influences the mind in various ways that undermine the power of the mind to help, and thus the suffering of the person returns due to the need of the body and its stubborn decision in the battle for the desired “peace of mind” which has been violated. The body is stronger than the brain, conditioning has been engraved in it, and it defeats the mind and causes the re-creation of anxious suffering. The body, the servant, becomes the master who rules over us. In this way, the person is ready to experience despair and anxiety again because these are feelings that are familiar to the subconscious.

A powerful and good way to manage and control our emotions is to close your eyes

When we close our eyes and imagine the reality we want in our lives, the brain will not distinguish between reality and imagination and will believe the scenario we place in our brain.
Neurologically, the brain will stop recording the past, and will create the map for the future. If a person repeatedly plays the film of his or her happy script, it will become fixed in the subconscious and the script will become the person’s new reality.

The most difficult challenge of all is to teach the body to feel the sensations that are related to the future, which has not yet occurred. The body finds it difficult to wait patiently for the good experiences that have not yet arrived. The real challenge is to be your own reality creator and create your own dreams. And when the sense of happiness takes root, a person transforms from a victim who blames his failures on others, into a creator who controls his thoughts and perceptions, new beliefs and affirmations that drive his or her life into significant achievements.

Meditation is a powerful healing tool

If we close our eyes, fewer stimuli will enter our brain. We disconnect from the external environment and focus on the present moment. We focus on the pleasant meditation music and on our slow breathing. In this way, alpha and theta waves are released from our brain, which help us navigate our brain to collaborate with our request to summon peace and quiet into our lives. When we meditate, we “train” our brain. When the body is no longer in command, there is a huge release of energy.

The ability to be aware of our thoughts is called metacognition. It is a concept in cognitive psychology that implies high-level thinking and active supervision of different thinking skills.

Meditation helps us detect blocking patterns, raise them to our consciousness and release the behaviors that do not serve us.

Meditation helps prevent diseases. Illness occurs in a state of chronic stress, because no living thing can exist in a constant state of emergency. It is a scientific fact that stress hormones decrease gene regulation and create long-term illness.

Humans can activate stress through thoughts alone. And the great gift of human beings is that we can also heal thanks to our thoughts, thoughts of prosperity and emotional well-being.

In the past, it was believed that all diseases are genetic. We now know that only one percent of diseases are genetic (such as type 1 diabetes or Tay-Sachs) and all other diseases are caused by an unhealthy lifestyle with chronic stress.

Researchers conducted a four-day observation of people who meditated, and tests have shown significant improvements in the areas of genes responsible for proliferation and body health, and good absorption of oxygen in tissues.

74% of people who meditated 5 days a week for 60 days, had their telomeres become longer, which means they got more years of life back.
(Telomere is the end region of the chromosome that contains the hereditary material in the cell nucleus, and the shortening of the telomere is indicative of old age and cancer.)
So much for the interview with Dr. Joe Dispenza.

My dear readers,

My name is Ayla Jahn, I help people to heal through meditation and guided imagery in cases of chronic illness and stress. For many years my patients have been assisted by a unique method I developed, which descends into the emotional layers of the subconscious and creates a deep release from emotional blockages along with a success in managing new emotions and creating new and healthy thought patterns. Our ability is infinite in creating a new reality through the power of thought. I personally recommend meditating once a day, before bed, in order to refresh and clear any tensions created during the day. This way, you can bring about a life of mental and physical health.

Many studies have proven the beneficial effect of meditation, just as the studies conducted by Dr. Dispenza throughout the years as a researcher and scientist.

If you give yourself a real opportunity to free yourself from the suffering caused by anxiety, you can shed light on this heavenly spark called your soul and express joy and happiness in the near future.

I invite you to a few minutes of peace and quiet with the following meditation. This is a free meditation that is given to you with great love. I believe you will embark on a new and blessed path through all the goodness that is in your higher consciousness:
